Aoife is Gaelic form of the name of Eve. Other sources say it’s an Irish girl’s name.




  1. I am totally thrilled by your natural dyeings and must ask how you do it (without necessarily divulging all your trade secrets!) … Is iron mordanting the trick here?

    1. Thank you, Sarah, here the print is strong thanks to infusing the euca leaves with rusty water. I have a bucket outside with rusty objects and leaves plus rain water. Tannins reacted with rust and the leaves were black when before I bundled them.
