handspun texture

This and some other handspun (my very first begginer’s hank from April when I learned to spin) felted. The more the yarn is twisted and uneven, the more texture. It’s not so visible from pictures but the color of each fibre differes slightly, I could sit and watch the nuances for long.

  1. I love beginners yarn Monika, it’s really hard to make it as varied and textural once you have learnt to spin evenly! The subtle colours and textures in this piece are gorgeous!

  2. so incredibly beautiful. I love spinning and combining it with felt is just one more advantage in learning new skills.
Over twisting is quite easy with a spinning wheel. You can also make coils which add a lot of texture too!

  3. I loved this yarn you wove and wondered if you ever sell any of it. I do applique dog pillows and am always looking for material for the dogs fur.
